Unbidden
This is Pictish weather
Unbidden, but a time of revelry
Baptizing every curve with bold memory’s
Smiling, wide eyed, cunning
A lovers torch, a simple equation
Hands around a flame
Each breath is a garland
Sublime, interacting, fingers describing
the light fantastic
Open curtains whisper
As dreams rival sense and sound
Warrior dreams, cunningly concealed
Vagabond warriors, drunk on a storm
A storm of each other’s makings
Hands around a flame
Silent for a moment
As light becomes a cloud
